Choose Your Player - by Sutu

'Choose Your Player' was the first solo exhibition by Neonz artist, Sutu, in the US. Like much of Sutu's work the collection explores themes in contemporary digital culture, such as avatars, and what it means to choose and design your digital identity.

This project is a commentary on the popular Picture for Profile (PFP) culture within the NFT community, where users adopt a unique profile pics to represent their identity in the Metaverse.

For friends of Neonz, it might have seemed strange to see 'Choose Your Player' launching shortly after the launch of the Neonz project. Well the reason for this is that Sutu actually had this exhibition planned before Neonz had even kicked off. As some of you might know, Sutu is an Australian living in Los Angeles and a big part of his vision is to work with local institutions to amplify his projects and take them to the next level! Thats what we did at Superchief, we went all in! We showed Sutu’s neon art on about 50 LED screens, we had a real neon NEONZ sign, we installed two large scale LED neon strip sculptures, we provided free food and drinks! On top of that we did a live visuals set, which included projecting 10k Neonz and we launched our first glimpse of NeonzAR. The exhibition was a huge success and our documentation of it is a fantastic case study for what an IRL Sutuverse style event could look like.

Diving in and creating an IRL events like this is a fantastic calling card to convince the world of the power of Neonz.
